Fact sheet
Institute for sport and
sports medicine – Montenegro was founded in 2011 as the successor of the
former Section of Sports Medicine. These our three organizations: Institute for sport and sports medicine together
with Association for sport medicine and
Agency for anti doping are the only
associations in Montenegro which deal with protection of health of athletes and fight
against doping in sport and have more than 140 members ( highly ranked
professionals: doctors and physical therapists).
Our strategic objectives are:

development and improvement of technical and scientific practices
in the field
medicine in sport and sports science
·
adequate health care for all athletes
·
protection of professional interests and rights of doctors and
medical personnel involved in sports medicine
·
education in the field of sports medicine and providing
appropriate degrees and licenses
·
publishing of professional
and scientific publications
·
cooperation with other national and international sports and
sports medicine associations

Sports Medicine Association of Montenegro
and Institute for sport and sports medicine – Montenegro
has achieved quality and regional cooperation primarily with the
Association of Serbia Sports Medicine, Sports Medicine Section of Serbia,
Serbian Institute of Sport , University Clinic for Sports Medicine , Slovenia , the Provincial
Institute of Vojvodina sport and the Croatian Society for Sports Medicine.
